Up till recently Flash was solely used to show animations. Today many websites show nicely animated images, often done with javascript. Both techniques have so their advantages and disadvantages. As we know both, we can use the ideal combination.
jQuery is an example of such a framework with many effects and options, with plenty of opensource plugins available.

By including this in our framework you can add a lot of functionality to your site, keeping the cost relatively low. Some examples are slideshows, table sorting, accordion text etc.
